CALL FOR PROGRAMS!

hrcbar1.gif (6261 bytes)

The Houston Radio Collective needs programmers and programming. This is a unique opportunity for the people of Houston to participate in the opening up of FM frequencies as a right guaranteed by the First Amendment. The implications and possibilities are staggering!

1. Additional political viewpoints.
2. Local radio play for local bands.
3. A proliferation of poetry.
4. Wild, zany radio plays.
5. Creative anti-commercials.
6. Creative outlet for students.
7. Community-building.
8. Added focus on important issues.
9. "People-up" programming
(instead of "trickle-down" corporate culture).
10. That special project of yours.

HOW TO GET ON THE AIR:
Supply your program on a *high-position* cassette tape with:
1. Name of program
(one music selection or interview per tape, please)
2. Name of producer
(your name and/or production company or group)
3. How to contact you
(optional but recommended)

All submissions must be accompanied by a piece of paper, preferably a 3x5 index card, with all the above information (1, 2, and 3), along with a $10 processing fee. Stay tuned to the radio station (THURS.-SUN. 7-10 p.m.) for drop-off locations. Programming must be free of profanity and must not be libelous. The radio station will claim no responsibility, as it must be preserved for public access. Thanks for your cooperation and support!
