SEEN, BUT NOT HEARD

The community needs you now! Don't let another child become a "Throw-Away Kid." We are losing most of our young people to countless stories of neglect and abuse. Every year nearly 250,000 children are reported abused and neglected, and millions more go unheard. Many of our children are already condemned long before they meet the pressures of society. Instability in the home, poverty, lack of education, and locked doors to growth opportunities drive children into the streets of drugs, sex, gangs, peer pressure, illiteracy, poverty and prison sentences.

We need strong leaders with vision, belief, and action operating for the future of the children and communities.

THE LAUNCH POINT CENTER is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization chartered by the State of Texas and classified as a 501(c)(3) organization in 1993. It was created in 1985 as a result of many in various communities who are concerned with seeking answers to effect positive change amidst growing crime, drugs, poverty, illiteracy, and lack of growth opportunities for youth and families.

Public parks, community centers, and schools have high numbers of volatile and misdirected youth instead of youth with attitudes to excel. Our LAUNCH POINT organization offers an array of fantastic programs that motivate young attitudes to grow. The programs lower the number of youth who lack the willingness and confidence to excel.

Mission

To engage the community in visions for the collective whole and to build the desire and capability to have control over its own destiny.

Goals

To add innovative leadership-building activities and practical high performance fun and educational entertainment to the efforts of schools, parks, youth clubs, and community organizations.

Fundraising

We promote events and help schools and community organizations to do fundraising.

LAUNCH POINT is a mobile activity and motivation center that enhances the efforts of schools, youth clubs, parks, camps, and community organizations with a variety of positive programs.

Each day a child is faced with deciding whether or not he or she will participate in drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, sex, crime, violence, gangs, and dropping out of school. We provide innovative activities, motivation, and life lessons that help youth to make positive decisions and act with better efforts to reach the goals of their school and community organizations.

LAUNCH POINT seeks to assist other leaders challenged with vision to restore the well-being of children, families, and communities - Leaders who would consider being instrumental in major community projects, joint ventures, and events - Leaders who would be willing to sponsor efforts with our young hopefuls in building tomorrow's community and business leaders.

JOIN FORCES WITH US!

Our goal is to reach 1000 or more children every 6 months. If you share this goal, we need computers, multimedia equipment, building supplies, activity space, buses, and sponsorship from other community-minded groups and individuals like you!

By combining our resources, together we can defray the costs of these educational programs for our youth. All donations are tax-deductible.
